Bangladesh Premier League will be held from January 21 to February 18 in 2021-22. The competition, which was last conducted in December 2019, will include six teams.
The players’ draft will take place on December 27 in Dhaka, but teams can sign one Bangladesh and three international players outside of the draft.
Teams must register at least three international players and ten domestic players (excluding those signed outside the draft) from the draft. A team must select three abroad players during a BPL match.
Overseas players can earn between US$ 20,000 and 75,000 if they are selecting in the draft, while local players can earn between BDT five lakh (about US$ 5,555) and 70 lakh (approximately US$ 77,700).
The competition, which was last conduct in December 2019, will include six clubs, with four previous owners having purchased franchises from the BCB.
“There was some skepticism about the BPL,” said Ismail Haider Mallick, chairman of the BPL governing council.
“Due to the Covid incident, we had to examine if the Bangladesh team could finally play in New Zealand. Were all set to keep the BPL. We have six teams registered with us. We have a few requirements for them, one of which is that they must guarantee the participation money. This payment must be made prior to the commencement of the competition.”
Three sites in Dhaka, Sylhet, and Chattogram will host the competition.

Bangladesh team will come home from New Zealand on the 14th or 15th of January, giving them just a few days to prepare for the T20 tournament
Bangladesh: The winners will receive BDT one crore (about US$ 111,100) while the runners-up will receive BDT 50 lakhs (approximately US$ 55,555).
