R Ashwin Shares Phase Between 2018-20 When He ‘Contemplated Retirement’

R Ashwin has been a valuable asset for Team India in both home and away situations, in the longer version of the game. After Anil Kumble and Kapil Dev, the star spinner has 427 Test wickets to his name, giving him the country’s third-highest wicket-taker in the red-ball format.

He has had a similar influence in franchise cricket, where the 35-year-old has recovered his place in the limited-over format. However, according to Ashwin, there was a time between 2018 and 2020 when he “considered retirement.”
