KL Rahul, who was appointed as Virat Kohli’s deputy for the next series last week, posted photos of himself batting in a nets practice in South Africa on Monday.

In preparation for the much-anticipated series in South Africa, the Indian Test team has been sweating it out in practice sessions. A three-match Test series between India and South Africa will begin on December 26 at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
After Rohit Sharma was forced out of the Test series due to a hamstring injury, Rahul was named vice-captain.

After being out of the playing XI for more than two years, Rahul made his comeback into the India Test squad during the England series earlier this year.
During the England series, the opener excelled with his batting prowess, hitting 315 runs in four Tests.
However, due to an injury, he was unable to participate in the just finished home Test series against New Zealand.
The Indian Test team arrived in South Africa last week and has had two practice sessions since then. India has never won a Test series in South Africa, and they will be looking to change that this time around.
The Virat Kohli-led Indian Test squad only won one of three games in South Africa last year, but they put up a good fight in all of them.
Kohli scored the most runs in the 2018 Test series, and this will be his third visit to South Africa, but his second as captain.
