Ace Leg-Spinner Yasir Shah: Due to a thumb injury, Pakistan’s top leg-spinner Yasir Shah will miss Pakistan’s two-match Test series in Bangladesh, the country’s cricket selectors announced Monday.

Ace Leg-Spinner Yasir Shah the 35-year-old, who has 235 wickets in 46 Tests and has been a match-winner for Pakistan since 2014, was hurt in September

Bilal Asif, a 36-year-old spinner who played the most recent of his five Tests in 2018, takes his place. Pakistan will play three Twenty20 internationals in Dhaka on November 19, 21, and 22 before two Tests in Chittagong (November 26-30) and Dhaka (November 26-30) (4-8 December).
The 20-player roster includes opener Imam-ul-Haq and middle-order batter Kamran Ghulam.
Imam, who bats left-handed, returns following a strong showing in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, where he has 488 runs in five innings, including an undefeated double-century.
In 2019, Imam took part in his 11th and most recent Test against Australia in Adelaide.
Kamran set a national record with 1,249 runs in the 2020-21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
The squad was chosen based on the conditions in Bangladesh, according to chief selector Mohammad Wasim.
Mohammad Wasim said:
“Bangladesh is a strong side in their backyard but we have the resources, talent, and experience to perform strongly and then carry that momentum into the Australia Tests, which will be in Pakistan next year,”
