West Indies: The West Indies women’s team trounced Pakistan by six wickets to seal a sweep in the three-match ODI series at the National Stadium on Sunday, thanks to skipper Stefanie Taylor’s unbeaten 102.

The West Indies women’s team trounced Pakistan by six wickets to seal a sweep in the three-match ODI series at the National Stadium on Sunday.
Thanks to skipper Stefanie Taylor’s unbeaten 102. Set a target of 226 to win, the visitors came back from 15 for 3 in the fifth over to reach the total in 44 overs for the loss of four wickets.
Taylor then put on a 128-run fifth-wicket stand with Chedian Nation, who was 51 not out, to set up a comfortable win.

The West Indies had also won the first two One-Day Internationals at the same location, with Deandra Dottin making a century in the first match
After skipper west indies Javaria Khan was run out for the second time in the series. Pakistan could only manage 225 runs in their first innings. Javaria, the team’s most experienced hitter, only managed 13 runs, but Muneeba Ali. The team’s opener, smashed 58 runs off 88 balls, including eight fours.
Only Aliya Riaz (44 from 57 balls), Omaima Sohail (27). And Erum Javed (26) were able to contribute after she was removed.
Shakera Selman and Aaliyah Alleyne both got two wickets for the visitors.
The first three visiting batsmen were dismissed cheaply by left-arm spinner Anam Amin. And speedster Diana Baig, but Stefanie Taylor batted superbly in her 117-ball innings. Hitting 12 fours, while Chedian struck seven fours in her rapid innings. Hayley Matthews, an allrounder, also scored 49 runs.
The West Indies ODI series is part of the teams’ preparations for the ICC qualifications. Which are being conducted in Zimbabwe and from which both teams must qualify for the World Cup next year. Both teams are flying to Harare tonight.
