Bangladesh will begin the new year with a Test match at the Bay Oval in Tauranga, the first of a two-match series in New Zealand. The teams will next travel to Christchurch for the second match, which will begin on January 9.
Bangladesh is scheduled to go to New Zealand in the second half of December
The two Tests will be part of the teams’ World Test Championship cycle, which runs from 2021 to 2023.
It should be noted that the New Zealand men’s cricket team has never beaten South Africa in a Test series, whether at home or away, and will be hoping to change that when they face the Proteas in a two-Test match series in February-March 2022. The Cello Basin Reserve will host the first Test of this series, while the Hagley Oval will host the second.
Meanwhile, New Zealand’s women’s squad will have an excellent warm-up for next year’s ODI World Cup when they play India in a six-match series consisting of one T20I and five ODIs at home.
