Shakib Al Hasan set to miss T20I series vs Pakistan due to hamstring injury

Shakib Al Hasan: Due to a hamstring injury, Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will miss the next three-match T20I series against Pakistan.

Shakib Al Hasan was forced to return home midway through the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman due to a grade 1 hamstring injury.

Following the T20Is, Bangladesh Cricket Board chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told the media that Shakib will be available for the two-match Test series against Pakistan.

Nurul Hasan, on the other hand, is expected to be available for the T20I series, according to Chowdhury. In the present World Cup, the wicketkeeper-batter has been sidelined due to stomach pain.

Bangladesh will play Pakistan in three Twenty20 Internationals at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on November 19, 20, and 22.

Bangladesh will play the two-match Test series opener on November 26 at Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, following the T20Is. The second Test will begin on December 4 in Mirpur.
